In short
- Your name on the chat. The site's name becomes the chat's suggested name.
- Your main color. The site's primary color becomes the accent color.
- Your language as default. The site's language becomes the chat's default language.
- Your edits always win.Suggestions apply only until you save your own draft.
The first time you see your chat, it should feel like yours. Instead of starting from a generic look, OneType uses what it learns while reading your website to prepare a draft in your brand. You get a head start, and you stay in full control.
What OneType picks up
While your agent learns from your site, OneType also notes a few brand details and suggests them as your chat's starting point:
- Your site's name, used as the chat's name.
- Your site's main color, used as the accent color.
- Your site's language, used as the chat's default language.
- Your site's icon, used as the agent's avatar.
If a detail cannot be found, that part simply keeps OneType's default.
Your changes always come first
The suggestion only fills a draft you have not saved yet. The moment you save your own changes, OneType stops making suggestions and never overwrites your choices. It is a starting point, not a rule. If you prefer to start from scratch, change the name or logo and save: that draft is yours from then on.
Why a branded start helps
A generic blue chat on a green website looks like someone else's tool. Seeing your own name, color and icon from the first preview makes it much easier to picture the chat on your site and to decide what else to change. It also means that if you are short on time, the starting point is already close to right.
Where the details come from
The brand details come from the same reading of your website that trains your agent. There is no separate step and nothing to upload. Your site's icon is stored by OneType and used as the avatar, rather than loaded from your server each time.
Make it your own
From there you can change it: pick one of the 134 chat templates and add your logo, name, greeting and starter questions. Nothing appears on your site until you publish.
What it does not copy
Brand extraction takes one main color, your name, language and icon. It does not copy your fonts, corner shapes or page layout.
See it on your own site
Curious how your chat would look? The preview on the try page shows an agent trained on your site, over a picture of your own homepage.
