In short
- The real chat, live. The preview is the actual chat in design mode, not a picture of it.
- Every device size.Switch between desktop, tablet and phone with one click.
- Eleven conversation states.Check long answers, handoffs, errors, forms and more before they happen.
- Saved as you work.Changes save automatically, and conflicts with teammates are caught.
A chat on your site is part of your brand. It should look right on a big screen and a small phone, in light and dark, and when something goes wrong. The OneType visual editor, coming soon, lets you check all of that before a single visitor sees it, without code.
Three panes, one clear workflow
On the left you choose the layout and arrange the blocks on the home screen. In the middle is the canvas with the live chat. On the right, four tabs hold every setting: Brand, Designs, Content and Behavior.
Four tabs for every setting
- Brand: avatar, preset, light or dark, colors, font, shapes and launcher.
- Designs: finished light and dark looks you can preview and apply.
- Content: greeting, suggested questions and other texts, per language.
- Behavior: how sources are shown, how answers appear and how long conversations are kept.
Preview every device and theme
The toolbar above the canvas switches between desktop at 1440 px, tablet at 834 px and phone at 390 px wide. A light and dark toggle shows both themes, unless you fixed the widget to one of them.
Test the moments that matter
A chat is more than its first screen. The State menu puts the chat into situations that are hard to catch by hand, so you can see how your design holds up:
- Home, and a long answer with a table, code and six sources.
- A handoff to a person, a person typing, and a lead form asking for an email.
- A tool running, and a tool waiting for the visitor's approval.
- An answer that failed, and a visitor who sends too many messages.
- Right to left, with Arabic text mirrored.
- Live chat, where you ask your real agent questions on your draft.
Autosave, conflicts and permissions
The editor saves your draft automatically a moment after each change, and Cmd or Ctrl plus S saves right away. It warns you before you leave with unsaved changes. If a teammate saved the same widget in the meantime, you choose between loading their version and keeping yours, so nobody overwrites work by accident.
Team members without permission to edit can still open the editor and look at every state. Their view is clearly marked as view only. Publishing is reserved for owners and admins.
Edit on the go
On a phone, the editor turns into three tabs: Templates, Preview and Style. Small fixes do not have to wait until you are back at your desk.
Nothing goes live until you publish
Everything you change stays in a draft. When you are happy, you publish it as a new version, and you can roll back to any earlier version at any time.
