In short
- Knows who is around.OneType sees whether anyone on your team has the dashboard open.
- Opening hours you set.Human handoff is offered only within your opening hours and while someone on your team is online.
- A contact form instead.Outside your hours, or with nobody online, the visitor leaves their details in a contact form, so you can follow up.
- Off until you turn it on.Human handoff is off until you turn it on for an agent. Without it, the agent can offer the contact form.
Your agent answers around the clock, but your team does not. The hard moment is a visitor who asks for a person at night or on a weekend. OneType makes sure they are not forgotten: they leave their details in a contact form, so your team can follow up.
OneType knows when your team is away
Human handoff needs a paid plan and is off until you turn it on for an agent. It is offered only within your opening hours and while someone on your team who can reply is online. Otherwise the visitor gets a contact form instead.
When the agent cannot answer
You can also choose what the agent does when it does not know an answer: hand the chat to your team, show a contact form so you can follow up, or apologize. For teams that are rarely online, the contact form is often the better choice.
