In short

  • Word by word.Text streams as it is written, so visitors are never staring at a blank chat.
  • Each step reported.OneType reports searching, reading the sources it found, and writing.
  • Survives dropped connections. If the connection drops, the answer is still finished and saved.
  • Image questions, if you allow.Visitors can attach screenshots or photos when you turn it on.

Waiting in silence feels slow, even when it is not. When an answer starts appearing right away, visitors stay with you. OneType streams every answer as it is written, and shows where it comes from as it goes.

From question to answer, step by step

As soon as a visitor asks, OneType reports each step of the answer: searching your content, reading the sources it found, with how many, and then writing. Then the text arrives word by word. When the answer cites a source, that source is added right there in the stream, so the visitor sees the numbered reference next to the sentence that uses it.

Checked while it streams

Streaming does not skip safety. Every piece of text passes through OneType's checks before it is shown: links to sites you did not allow are removed, sentences asking for secrets are dropped, and an answer that starts repeating the agent's hidden instructions is stopped. Only the small part of the text that could still turn into something to remove waits for the next words; the rest streams straight away. Visitors get the speed of streaming and the safety of a checked answer at the same time.

Reliable when connections are not

Phones switch networks and laptops go to sleep. If the visitor's connection drops mid-answer, the answer is not lost: it is still written in full and saved to the conversation, and it can be picked up again. Only the visitor stopping it, or a time limit, ends an answer early. If an answer fails, it can be retried, up to three tries for one message.

Image questions

Sometimes a screenshot says more than a paragraph. In the agent's settings you can turn on "Visitors can attach images". Visitors can then attach up to four images to a message, PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB each. If the AI model you chose cannot see images, the agent says so in the visitor's language, asks them to describe it, and still answers their words.

  • Off by default, turned on per agent.
  • Up to four images per message.
  • PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB each.
  • Location and time data is removed from uploaded photos.

Short and easy to read

Streaming works best with answers people can take in quickly. The agent is told to keep answers to a few sentences or a short list, and to use lists, tables and code formatting only when they help. Amounts are written once, with their currency, so the answer reads cleanly as it arrives.

For developers

The same stream is available to your own code. Answers can be sent over standard server-sent events, in the AI SDK UI message stream format, so you can show OneType answers in your own interface.

Questions, answered.

No, they appear as the answer cites them, next to the sentence that uses each one. Before the text, OneType reports that it is searching and reading sources.
