Visitors trust what feels familiar. Today you pick one of 134 chat templates and add your logo, name, greeting and starter questions. The finer controls below are part of the visual editor's Brand tab, which is coming soon.
Start from a preset
Four presets give you a quick base: OneType (light, soft shadows, rounded), Night (dark surfaces, bright accent), Flat (white, no shadows, tight corners) and Paper (warm off-white with ink text). Changing the preset keeps your accent color, font and text size, so you do not lose your brand choices.
Colors that stay readable
Pick your accent color and OneType works out whether text on it should be white or dark, with a live sample right under the picker. You can also set the background, surface and text colors, and tint the grays toward your brand with a tint strength from 0 to 100 percent and a hue from 0 to 360 degrees.
Before you publish, OneType checks the contrast of your colors. If text would be hard to read, the editor warns you, and you have to confirm on purpose to publish anyway.
Light, dark or automatic
Set the appearance to Light, Dark or Auto. Auto follows each visitor's own system setting, and new widgets start there. In the editor you can flip the preview between light and dark to check both.
Fonts and text size
- Satoshi, OneType's own typeface, as the default.
- The visitor's system font.
- From your site: whatever font the page around the chat uses.
- 16 Google Fonts, including Inter, Roboto, Poppins, IBM Plex Sans, Lora, Fraunces and Space Grotesk.
- A base text size from 14 to 18 px. On phones, input fields stay at 16 px so the page never zooms in.
Shape, launcher and avatar
Set the corner radius from 0 to 24 px, density to compact or comfortable, shadows to none, soft or strong, the header to solid, glass or minimal, and messages to bubbles or flat. For the chat bubble layout, choose bottom left or right, a short launcher label of up to 40 characters or an icon only, and the distance from the edges.
Upload an avatar for your agent as a PNG, JPEG or WebP image of up to 1 MB. Location and camera data are removed from the image when it is saved.
Check it on every screen
Every change shows on the live preview right away. Switch between desktop, tablet and phone, flip between light and dark, and put the chat into states like a long answer with sources or a handoff to a person. That way you catch a color that works on the home screen but not in a table, before your visitors do.
