In short

  • No translation work.Keep your content in one language; the agent answers in the visitor's.
  • 11 languages detected.OneType detects 11 languages and tells the agent which one to reply in.
  • Search across languages.A German question can find your English page, because search understands meaning in many languages.
  • Built-in replies translated.Messages OneType writes itself are ready in all 11 languages.

Your visitors do not all speak the language your website is written in. Translating every help page is slow and expensive. OneType lets your agent answer each visitor in their own language from the content you already have, so a question in Spanish gets a Spanish answer from your English docs.

Answers in the language of the question

Every answer is written in the language of the visitor's latest message, even when the sources are in another language. If a visitor switches languages partway through, the next answer follows. The sources the answer cites stay your original pages, so you and the visitor can still check them.

Detected for 11 languages

For 11 languages, OneType works out the visitor's language from their words and tells the agent to reply in it. These are:

  • English, German, Spanish, French and Italian
  • Portuguese as written in Portugal, and in Brazil
  • Dutch and Polish
  • Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian in Latin or Cyrillic script

Some languages look alike in writing, like Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian, or Portuguese from Portugal and Brazil. There OneType uses the language of your page to pick the right one. Serbian answers in Latin script are cleaned of stray Cyrillic letters.

Finding the right page in another language

An answer is only as good as the page it finds. OneType's search understands meaning across many languages, and the question is also rewritten into a search in the language of your content. So "Wie lange dauert der Versand?" can find your English shipping page.

OneType's own messages, translated

A few sentences are written by OneType rather than by the AI, such as "I couldn't find that in the sources I have" when there is no answer, or "Which one do you mean?". Each of these exists in all 11 languages, with no English fallback. If you write your own fallback message, it is shown as you wrote it.

Everything around the answer speaks it too

The language is not only for the main reply. Suggested follow-up questions are written in the visitor's language, and so is the summary OneType keeps of a long conversation. The language is sent with the reply from the very first moment, so a card shown next to it can use the same language. The visitor's language also helps Auto pick a model that handles it well.

What to expect outside these 11

The agent is still told to answer in the visitor's language, so it will usually reply in other languages too. But OneType does not detect and enforce those languages itself, and its own built-in messages fall back to your page's language or English. OneType does not translate or store a translated copy of your content; translation happens only in the answer.
