Putting a chat on your site should not be a developer project. OneType uses one small script tag. Once it is on your pages, everything else, from the look to the answers, is managed from your OneType dashboard, so you never touch your site's code again for a design change.
Go live in one step
In the setup flow, the Go live step asks for your site's domain and shows what it will do before it happens. One click then makes your agent active and public, adds your domain to its allowed domains and publishes the widget if nothing is live yet.
Copy the line, follow your platform's steps
After going live, OneType shows your script tag ready to copy. It loads the OneType widget and names your agent, and it goes just before the closing body tag. The same snippet is also in your agent's Add to your website tab whenever you need it.
The Add to your website tab offers Custom code, Webflow and Divhunt, and there are short written steps for other platforms. Where to paste the line:
- HTML: in your pages or shared layout, before the closing body tag.
- WordPress: in a header and footer plugin, or in your theme's footer.
- Webflow: as an embed in the site's custom code, the default, or as native Webflow elements (Beta, not tested on every template yet). Divhunt: in an Embed element.
- Shopify: in your theme's layout file.
- Next.js and React: in your root layout or HTML template, with a ready example for Next.js.
Not the one who edits the site? One link opens an email with the snippet and instructions, ready to send to your developer.
Know the moment it is live
While you install, OneType watches for your site. Open your site in a new tab, and as soon as a page loads the chat, the Go live step shows Live on your domain. You do not even need to open the chat. If nothing shows up after ten minutes, OneType lists what to check: the line is on the published page, the address is an allowed domain, no ad blocker or security policy blocks the widget, and the page was reloaded.
Only on the sites you choose
The chat runs in its own secure frame, and the browser is told to show it only on your allowed domains. Anyone who copies your script tag onto another site gets nothing.
Change the chat without touching your site
After the script is in place, you change the logo, name, greeting and starter questions in your dashboard, and your site shows the new look within about a minute.
No plugins needed, none offered
The platform guides are paste instructions. There are no plugins or apps for specific builders. The only builder-specific option is native Webflow elements, in Beta. The script tag works the same everywhere you can add custom code.
