Speak to visitors in their language.

A visitor who is greeted in their own language is more likely to ask a question. The chat's built-in words come ready in 11 languages, and the agent answers in the language the visitor writes in. Writing your own texts in several languages is coming soon.

Built-in texts in 11 languages

Buttons, labels and status messages ship ready in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese as written in Portugal and in Brazil, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian in Latin and Cyrillic script. For any other language, these words show in English.

Your own texts, in up to 15 languages

Coming soon, for each language you add:

• Display name, up to 60 characters.
• Greeting, up to 300 characters.
• Placeholder text in the message field, up to 120 characters.
• Up to 5 suggested questions, each up to 120 characters.
• The message shown when the agent has no answer, up to 300 characters.

Safe fallbacks and checks

If you leave the display name and suggested questions empty in your default language, the chat uses the name and questions from your agent's settings. Text you have not translated yet falls back to your default language, so no visitor sees an empty greeting.

Help page categories, quick links and privacy

Some layouts have extra texts, and those are translatable too. The help page layout can show up to 8 categories with 1 to 4 questions each, and layouts with quick links can show up to 4 links. You can also add your privacy policy address, which the chat links to from the form where visitors leave their details.

Your default language, suggested for you

When OneType reads your website, it can suggest your site's language as the chat's default language, along with your site's name and main color.
